My focus is not on legal areas but on the relationship with my client and helping them resolve their legal matters. I am fortunate to have long-running relationships with my clients, allowing me to witness how their needs evolve over the years. I often experience the declaration of trust it is to be asked about matters that are more business-related than legal. I greatly appreciate that type of collaboration, which has led me around many aspects of not only the legal world, but also the reality that small and medium-sized busi-nesses live in.
I work in several different areas of corporate law. My focus is on Contract Law in a broad sense; the conclusion of contracts and the collaboration between people and businesses excites me, and I am experi-enced with assisting with reaching a good agreement. Drafting the contract is the least of the work, but nevertheless an important part. Contracts can take on many different forms: establishing new businesses, ownership agreements, cooperation agreements, purchasing agreements, loan agreements, leases and so forth.
Even good contracts can lead to disputes between the parties. I also assist with these matters, both at-tempts at resolving the disagreements, and – if unsuccessful – litigation or arbitration.
Additionally, I have worked with Insolvency Law for several years. I have advised creditors on recovery of assets and debtors on debt management and have often been able to reach an agreement between the two parties. When this is not possible, I have been appointed trustee in many bankruptcy estates.
Throughout my entire legal career, I have worked with limited partnerships from different angles. Through my work as both an employee in a tax authority, an employee in an administrator and provider of limited partnerships, a lawyer, and as a trustee in bankruptcy estates, I have encountered all aspects of limited partnerships, and am strongly specialized in all legal matters relating to these. The many different roles I’ve worked in, paired with several years of experience, has given me significant insight into not only the strictly legal matters, but also the more practical and human aspects, which often factor into cases relating to limited partnerships.
