Dutch company BIOS established themselves in Denmark around 2014, when the company took on the competitor Falck with regards to the market of ambulance services in Denmark. In 2016, the Danish subsidiary BIOS Ambulance Services Denmark A/S, filed for bankruptcy, which triggered a case against Falck with the competition authorities and a subsequent claim settlement.
Attorney and partner at BACH|NJORD Law, Torkil Høg, has advised BIOS throughout the entire course of the case – right from the establishment in 2014 and until BIOS was awarded one of the largest compensations in Danish history for breaches of the competition rules, as Falck was required to pay damages to BIOS for the losses incurred by the company.
