If a bank files for bankruptcy, the depositors will be compensated under the Act on a Depositor and Investor Guarantee Scheme. The warranty covers a justified depositors’ funds up to a total amount of 100.000 Euros (approx. 750.000 DKK). The maximum coverage applies to the total deposit made to the bank, even if the funds have been transferred to different accounts, including both client accounts and private accounts. Special rules apply to deposits concerning real estate if the property has been used for or is meant for primarily non-commercial purposes. In this case, amounts are covered up to a total of 10 million euros during the first 12 months after the funds were deposited, and regardless of whether the deposit was placed in a separate account. All attorneys at BACH|NJORD Law are appointed by the Danish Ministry of Justice and are members of the Danish Bar and Law Society. All attorneys at BACH|NJORD Law are covered by the company’s statutory professional liability insurance and the deposit guarantee scheme provided by HDI Gerling. The professional liability insurance covers all legal work carried out by BACH|NJORD Law, regardless of where the work is carried out. BACH|NJORD Law does not use choice of law or jurisdiction clauses, unless otherwise agreed upon with the client.
